Here is a good example of a bid:
Goldsmiths Birdwatching Society, total bid £128.73
Please summarise the project this bid will support:
The Goldsmiths Birdwatching society is requesting this fund so we can take our members out birdwatching on field days. The project will take members to nearby green spaces to identify different varieties of birds across London. For the project, we need some equipment.
Breakdown:
The £128.73 would be used to order all the materials from Amazon:
-
6x binoculars, £77.94
-
1x 3L flask for tea, £16.00
-
10x light sticks for night walk emergencies, £22.29
-
100x posters, £12.50 total
How will this fund benefit your members and/or the Goldsmiths Community?
Birdwatching is all about getting outdoors and whilst the birdwatching society hosts events regularly on campus we feel it is time to get out of the classroom and out into the great outdoors! We would like to try local parks first before venturing out further.
Alternative funding methods:
The Birdwatching Society has partially raised funds for this project through an event which was marketed to the public at £1 per ticket. The event was a workshop on how to use your phone to make the most of bird watching opportunities in your area. In addition, the Birdwatching Society have reached out for sponsorship from National Trust and the RSPB as well as North Face and Avalon.
