POLE CLUB IS BACK!
Welcome to Goldsmiths Pole Dance Fitness Club! We're so excited to be back for 2024/2025. Pole is for everyone regardless of gender, size, fitness level (your strength, flexibility and coordination will increase over time!). We welcome everyone from absolute beginners to more experienced pole dancers!
Timetable
Pole classes for the Year are back from October 2024 - June 2025! Classes will be on Monday nights for Beginner levels 1 & 2 and Intermediate levels 3 & 4 on Wednesday nights.
Monday
- Spinny Pole Flow: 5:30-6:30pm (October - June 2025)
In Pole Flow with Neptune you'll learn combinations and transitions that will result in a sequence you will be encouraged to play with and make your own. Most of the moves will be in the lower part of the pole and will involve elements of floorwork. Great emphasis will be placed on dancing the routine to different musicalities and adding your own unique touch to it! Heels are optional, but kneepads/long socks are recommended for ease during floorwork :)
Level: not suitable for absolute beginners - must be able to invert or working towards it
- Beginner Level 1/2: 6:30-7:30pm
- Pole Hire / Monthly Workshop / Make-up Class: 7:30-8:30pm

Memberships
Students who purchase a term package will be granted access to our club’s membership and WhatsApp group chat. This will get you access to our socials, some free classes, special workshops and events we run! :)
Benefits:
- Access to our club’s social events (min. 2 socials per term).
- Access to our special workshops which includes guest instructors.
- Insurance cover during our classes.
What to wear/bring?
You need to wear shorts and sports bra or top to allow enough skin to grip to the pole. Our skin is what keeps us in the air! Leggings won't allow much grip, so try to wear shorts.
Bring a towel or microfibre cloth to occasionally wipe the pole, and water bottle.
DO NOT moisturise 24 hours before pole sessions! You can bring your own pole grip/chalk if you wish.
For choreography, you can wear pole heels or be barefoot/in socks. We highly advise to cover your knees either with kneepads or long socks or leggings.
Feel free to email us with any questions or queries at poledancefitnessclub@goldsmithssu.org or DM us on Instagram, @goldpoledance :)
Taster Sessions / Waiver
During Welcome Week and Give It a Go week you will be able to attend our sessions at no cost! If you have not purchased a memebership product before your taster, you MUST complete a waiver form > HERE!
Sport Access Fund
Students who are experiencing financial difficulty are welcome to apply for the Access Grant. There is no deadline, but aplications will be reviewed on a 1st-come-1st served basis. To apply please click > HERE
Much love from your committee!
