Charlie will be running a workshop on becoming a journalist in the current media landscape, and how to do it without losing (all) of your ethics. Learn how to use your voice to develop on existing news stories, finding your niche, and discovering your place in the big, bad, busy world of article writing.
Biography
Charlie Brinkhurst-Cuff is a news and feature writer, editor and creative with a focus on race, feminism, youth culture and social politics. A graduate of Goldsmiths, she is now the deputy editor of gal-dem -- an online and print magazine written by women of colour -- as well as the weekend editor at Dazed, a columnist for iPaper and a Guardian freelancer. Last year, she won the 2017 Georgina Henry Award for Innovation in Journalism.
