Actions don't lie. All isn't well, Vote for Danielle!

I am Danielle, ethical artist in chief committed to social justice, renowned community champion, studying Visual Cultures Curating  at Goldsmiths College.

Coming from a distinctive heritage tapestry, I am passionate about representing marginalised communities. I have an outstanding successful track record of raising aspirations, encouraging achievements, and ensuring equality to opportunities’ access for all.

I possess excellent interpersonal, multilingual, and problem-solving skills. I am campaigning to improve student learning experience and combat student isolation. I have taken roles of leadership both in my department and at university in order to build a robust student voice, using participatory pedagogy, and transforming places into social learning spaces.

Student wellbeing is key to student performance. I am standing for  the Welfare and Liberation Officer this election. I aim to represent views and interests of students facing systematic barriers to participation and  ensure all vulnerable students are treated as ‘valued individuals’ not just mere ‘transactions'. All students should be given a fair opportunity to progress regardless of their limitations as  Goldsmiths University's policies state that they provide  support, I make sure these are translated into practice appropriately and sensitively throughout their learning journey and beyond.

All isn't well, vote for Danielle!

Your vote will allow me to:

  1. Run Mindful Zeen Drop- In  every week offering empathy and compassion as well as help and guidance to any student that is affected and a place for students interested in forming a liberation group to meet and discuss issues.
  2. Deliver interesting and impactful  sensorial activities every month to build students confidence in participating and reaching out for help if they need  to, in a non-threatening setting.
  3. Host an indoors Speakers Corner every term for students to share their learning experiences with a microphone, and feel free to have their say in a safe and supportive environment.
  4. Provide an exciting Summer social event – once a year, celebrating students' achievements and bringing in guest speakers to motivate and entertain students, including a Barbecue, DJ, stalls and  sensorial group games, all to make sure all students  take part and have fun!
