Sabbatical Officers (SABBs for short) are students elected leaders of Goldsmiths Students Union. They are here to represent you and are an influential voice here to make your student experience the best it can be.
No two days are ever the same here. One minute you could be hosting an event with the local community the next you could be meeting with senior leaders of the College to discuss the real issues and challenges that students face.
As an Sabbatical Officer you could:
-
Work with students on issues that matter the most to them.
-
Meet with University leaders, local leaders and beyond to improve the Goldsmiths Student experience.
-
Network with other SU leaders across London and beyond to learn and share tips.
-
Lead major SU campaigns, both inherited campaigns or your own.
… and that’s just what could happen in an afternoon
Did we mention?
A Sabbatical Officer role is a full-time, paid position!
You’ll get holiday leave as well as additional College closure days over festive periods. Did you know that you can also Nominate yourself no matter what stage you’re currently at in your course, first year to post-grad - international student or UK based, everyone is welcome to nominate themselves.
You’ll be the leaders of change over the course of the 23-24 academic year!
We don’t expect you to have lots of experience in a similar position, just a passion to support your peers and improve the student experience.
